Coronation Street real-life twins praised by their father in sweet 11th birthday post

Chris Flanagan has praised his two children, William and Isabella Flanagan, in a sweet birthday post on Wednesday as the twins turned 11 years old.

The two youngsters play Joseph Brown and Hope Stape on Coronation Street and the two characters have appeared in several scenes together during the latest episodes as part of a big storyline involving Joseph.

William and Isabella also have a famous older sister, Amelia Flanagan, who plays April Windsor on Emmerdale.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, proud father Chris shared a sweet picture of William and Isabella on the cobbles filming while wearing ITV coats.

He penned: "Happy Birthday to these little legends, 11 years old today! Been a busy week but we will celebrate tonight!!"

Soap fans were quick to reply to Chris' tweet as they praised the real-life soap siblings for their "fantastic" acting skills.

One person said: "Have been loving the scene’s with them both together in @itvcorrie this week fab little actors happy birthday both."

A different account put: "Happy birthday. Enjoying the current story line giving them the chance to shine!"

Another follower replied: "Happy 11th birthday to you both. You certainly have amazing and talented children, you must be so proud of the 3 of them x."

While a different account added: "Wow just learnt something for the day, how talented your beautiful children are… never even knew they were related. Happy 11th Birthday to you both hope you have an amazing day."

Only recently, soap fans shared their excitement over the real-life siblings sharing rare scenes together on the ITV soap due to a big storyline with Joseph.

Earlier this week, Joseph admitted that his father Chesney Brown hadn't paid for his school trip yet and didn't have the money for a new jumper.

Hope decided to take matters into her own hands as she stole mother Fiz Stape's purse and told Joseph to "help himself" to the cash, which Fiz caught him in the act.

After Joseph explained it was for the school trip and apologised, Fiz was left concerned after she discovered that he was also being bullied at school.

During Wednesday's episode, Chesney decided to speak to the school about Joseph's bullying despite promising his son he wouldn't.

Joseph was left furious over his father's betrayal and later in the episode Chesney was left distraught after discovering that his son had gone missing following the row.

After calling the police, they found Joseph's abandoned jumper, leaving Chesney and his partner Gemma Winter further worried for the youngster.

However, it was soon revealed at the end of the episode to soap watchers that Hope is helping hide Joseph in her home's attic without telling anyone of his whereabouts.
