A DANCING On Ice star has been rushed to hospital in an ambulance after suffering a nasty accident on a day out with a pal.
The Olympian took to his Instagram stories to reveal that he had to be cared for by doctors and nurses after sustaining an injury.
BMX racer Kye Whyte, who is best known for winning a silver medal in the 2020 Olympic Games, smiled for the photo on a stretcher.
The star had been whisked off in an ambulance and was seen lying topless, with what appeared to be a sling on his arm.
The professional BMX rider looked to have sustained an injury to his hand, with paramedics having fitted him with an IV drip.
Kye, 23, was pictured lying on the stretcher and covered with a blanket in a snap taken by his fellow Team GB BMX rider Ross Cullen.

Ross cheekily snapped a photo of his pal without "consent" as they headed to the hospital together for Kye to be looked after.
"Big up Ross, came and chilled with me in the hospital until I left," Kye penned on the photo on his Instagram stories.
He went on to joke alongside a heart, eye and laughing emojis: "I didn't consent to this picture though."
The Sun have contacted Kye's representative for comment.

Earlier this week, Kye took to his Instagram to hint at an injury, reassuring fans he would be “back fit again soon”.
He said: "You win some you lose some, this time I lost some and took a big hit into turn 2 trying to go for the inside it happens it's how the sport goes I'll be back fit again soon until then some rest and recovery will be happening and see you all soon.
Kye took part in hit ITV competition Dancing On Ice last year alongside professional skating partner Tippy Packard.
However, just weeks into the show, the star was forced to pull out of the competition after sustaining a nasty injury.
The 11th hour accident ruled him out – as he was left unable to perform alongside his co-star Tippy.
He said in a statement: “It’s an unfortunate accident. I’ve trained and worked hard with Tippy to perform this weekend.
"For me, as an athlete, I’m used to stuff like this happening where you get injured and can’t compete. I’m more sad for Tippy, she’s worked hard so not being able to skate is obviously upsetting.
"We both really wanted to do this number, it’s a cool performance and we put a lot of effort into it.
“I was so happy and excited for everyone when they skated last weekend. I was watching and couldn’t wait to skate this Sunday. I’ll be there cheering everyone on!”
Kye sustained a sprain to his knee and was treated by the Dancing on Ice medical professionals who advised him to step down.
