Danniella Westbrook taken off Loose Women in wake of Jeremy Kyle cancellation

Danniella Westbrook claims she has been taken off Loose Women in the wake of The Jeremy Kyle Show being suspended indefinitely.

Monday morning's episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled and will not be screened as a participant died a week after recording .

ITV have decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of the show with immediate effect while they conduct a review.

Danniella had filmed a celebrity special, which was due to air on Tuesday, before her pre-booked appearance on Loose Women.

However, the former EastEnders actress claims Loose Women have now "cancelled" her interview.

Taking to Twitter, she said: "SO @loosewomen NOW CANCELED Me  TOMORROW DUE TO @ITVJeremyKyle BEING TAKEN OFF AIR I DEFINITELY.. So will catch up with you all soon"

ITV had been airing trailers about her Loose Women interview throughout the motning.

Earlier in the day, Danniella had told her Twitter followers that producers informed her of the episode cancellation.

She tweeted: "I’ve just been informed # ITVJeremyKyle will now not be airing tomorrow .. Im hoping you guys get to see it at a later date but catch me on @ loosewomen tomorrow"

The Celebrity Big Brother star was returning to speak about her recovery from addiction in a "heartbreaking" episode.

On Sunday night, she tweeted: "Also I shall be on @ITVJeremyKyle first thing tomorrow it’s a heartbreaking show but with a happy ending I seriously didn’t realise just how riddled with the illness of addiction I was .. But tune in & feel free to watch me  on @loosewomen tomorrow also"

On Friday, The Jeremy Kyle Show's official twitter account said: "It was great having @ westbrookdanni back in the studio, you can watch the interview on Tuesday in another BRAND NEW show!"

Danniella replied: "Just wanna day thanks @ITVJeremyKyle and the Perry Clayman Project for the love support and patience. I’m fixed from the inside out on the way home to Pcp missed my Pcp peers and my home groups the last 2 days #recovery #pcp #TheWestbrook #Clean"

Christopher Maloney was also due to appear in the celebrity edition of the show.

The former X Factor singer told us he had spoken to producers, who revealed the suspension is only "temporary".

Speaking to Mirror Online, Chris said: "It's [a] temporary [suspension]. It will be aired at a later date. I haven't been told the new TX date.

"It's really sad news. I'm not sure of the actual details surrounding it, but my thoughts are with the family at this time."

Giving a further update on Twitter , he said: "Hi guys, just spoken to the producers # ITVJeremyKyle and our celebrity special will be aired at a later date @ westbrookdanni will keep you updated. In the mean time my thoughts are with the family at this time.

ITV released a statement explaining why The Jeremy Kyle Show, which usually airs weekdays at 9.25am, will not be on air.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.

“Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.”

ITV have declined to add further comment, even on the topic of today's show.
