Dr Emma Reid (Dido Miles) is in hospital and Luca McIntyre (Ross McLaren) is left a bombshell by Winnie – just another day with the Doctors.
Things don’t get off to a great start for Emma when she wakes up in hospital – but how did she get in such a terrible state?
Teased by Dr Zara Carmichael (Elizabeth Dermot Walsh) Emma is left humiliated by the truth behind it. She’s touched by the gift Zara gives her, but breaks down when she realises she won’t be able to walk for a while.
After an operation, Dr. Al Haskey (Ian Midlane), Karen Hollins (Jan Pearson), and Valerie Pitman (Sarah Moyle) are gathered at Emma’s bedside.
Karen and Valerie verbally argue, while Al just smirks. Poor Emma just feels like she is in hell!
Karen and Valerie turn the topic to mobility scooters but Al can see Emma just needs to rest and suggests leaving her to recuperate.
Meanwhile, Sid Vere (Ashley Rice) is impressed with Princess Buchanan (Laura White) at The Mill, who is clearly hard working and not looking to overwork her.
And elsewhere, Luca meets up with Stuart Jones (Will Barton) and reminisces about how lovely Winnie was but sadly for Stuart it wasn’t such a happy one.
Stuart remembers Winnie as both unaffectionate and critical and didn’t even know she was so ill.
As Luca and Stuart search for Winnie’s final instructions, the reality of the situation starts to hit home.
What will Winnie’s last wish be?
Doctors airs these scenes Tuesday March 15 at 1:45pm on BBC One then 7pm on BBC Two.
