Eamonn says Ruth wants to see Chris Hemsworth’s ‘hammer’ in ‘uncomfortable’ chat

Chris Hemsworth did not look too impressed during an 'uncomfortable' interview on This Morning.

This Morning viewers were 'cringing' as they watched Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford chat to the Thor actor.

The interview got off to an awkward start when Ruth asked the Hollywood A-lister: "Are you comfortable in your nice hotel down the road".

The Australian actor was being filmed live from a London hotel just a 30-minute drive away from the studio.

"We would prefer it if you were here, Chris, to be honest," admitted Ruth bluntly.

Eamonn then shocked the God Of Thunder by revealing: "Ruth was looking forward to seeing your hammer."

Chris's superhero character Thor wields the hammer Mjolnir in the Marvel films and comics.

Letting out a little chuckle, Chris replied: "It's been destroyed, in the last film."

Eamonn added: "That's a whole other story."

This Morning viewers took to Twitter after watching the awkward exchange.

"This Chris Hemsworth interview on this morning seems really awks and uncomfortable," said one viewer.

Another added: "How awkward is this Chris Hemsworth interview!"

"Oh f*** this is cringey already "Ruth wanted to see your hammer"," said a third.

Chris spoke about his upcoming Avengers movie and hinted it may be the last time we see him as Thor.

He added: "I’d play this character [Thor] for as long as anyone would let me.

"Who knows what the future holds and whether they do prequels or sequels, but I’d be open to anything.

"But right now, this is where we finish up."

Alison Hammond fans claimed the This Morning presenter should have been given the chance to interview Chris.

One viewer tweeted: "Finding this Chris Hemsworth interview awkward, where is Alison when you need her"

"Most awkward interview ever, shoulda sent alison in," added another.

A third said: "Cringe cringe, send Alison to Chris next time not b****y Butlins."
