EastEnders fans confused as Bobby admits he attacked Ian Beale

Some EastEnders viewers were left confused on Thursday night after Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) said it was him who had attacked his dad Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).

Earlier this week, Ian asked his longtime friend Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) to marry him – and on Thursday she agreed.

The duo tied the knot at Ian's hospital bed, with Sharon looking like she was dressed for a funeral in all black.

And moments later Ian looked to be in pain and it was all hands on deck to make sure he was alright.

In the panic, Bobby looked concerned and shouted he was sorry, and that it was him, and while he didn't specifically say what he was sorry for, fans have been left confused.

One wrote on Twitter: "FFS did Bobby break out his jewellery box again then?"

Another said: "It wasn't Bobby, I think he just thinks it was his fault because he didn't perform his OCD rituals."

A third wrote: "Bobby did not hit Ian."

Someone else commented: "I do not for one minute believe that Bobby Beale hurt Ian, I think he is referring to not doing his OCD rituals."

A fifth speculated: "I don't think Bobby gave him the final blow. So Sharon found out about Dennis, hired someone to kill Ian, that didn't work so now she married him and still wants him dead and then gets everything he owns including the Vic?"

And a sixth added: "Bobby thinks he made it happen because he didn't count his cornflakes before he ate them."
