EastEnders’ Kush makes huge discovery as character ‘comes back from dead’

Tonight's EastEnders saw a shocking twist when Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) went to the hospital and saw Jean Slater's (Gillian Wright) past love interest Daniel Cook (Adrian Edmondson).

The reason it was so gobsmacking is because the Albert Square residents thought he had died back in October – though viewers knew differently.

In actual fact, the cancer sufferer faked his death in order to try and protect Jean, stopping her getting too attached before he did die.

However Jean could be set to get her heartbroken again after Kush thought he saw Daniel exiting the hospital while he was there visiting one of Jean's friends.

Kush went armed with a wad of magazines and an MP3 player for Jean's friend, but was told by one of the nurses that she wasn't there.

Instead, he asked the nurse to keep a hold of it and give the magazines out to some of the other patients.

However when he went to leave, he saw a shifty character making their exit too.

He called out for Daniel, confused as to whether it was Jean's friend or not.

Kush never got to confirm his suspicions though, as by the time he'd run after him and got through the door, the mystery man had gone.

Of course, nothing stays a secret in Albert Square, so how long will Kush be able to keep things to himself?

It's yet to be confirmed if Daniel will be making a more regular return to the soap, but it suggests he may make another appearance.
