Emmerdale fans were left shocked at new dramatic scenes in the ongoing feud between Cain Dingle and Al Chapman over Chloe Harris’s stalking ordeal.
Previously, Chloe (Jessie Elland) had found out that her ex Noah (Jack Downham) had been taking photos of her and storing them on his laptop without her consent.
Thursday night’s episode saw a dramatic twist in the storyline when Al wanted to bring Noah to justice for what he did to Chloe, with Cain wanting to protect his family.
This led to Cain and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) embarking on a car chase to retrieve Noah's laptop that Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) had stolen and tried to prevent Al from going to the police station with.
Al managed to get away, but Cain swerved the vehicle to do a U-turn and follow him, crashing into a telegraph pole.
Thinking it was over for him, Cain begged Chas to go ask for help, not wanting his sister to witness his violent death.
After Chas reluctantly went away, however, Al was able to save Cain.
After the dramatic scenes, Emmerdale fans expressed their shock on Twitter.
“Personally think it would have been better if al left cain to die,” wrote one.
“Soooo, are we thinking Al is going to get Cain out, then the pole will fall and kill Al?” another said.
One viewer wasn’t too keen on the ongoing feud saying: “I suppose it's too much to ask that Al saving Cain will end their stupid feud & call a truce”.
Meanwhile, another was a fan of the shocking twist, writing: “if cain and al become besties after this i might have to stan”.
Elsewhere, fans think they have "figured out" Gabby Thomas' downfall after she accidentally shot Will Taylor during the ITV soap's special flash forward week of episodes.
On Wednesday's instalment, it was revealed that Gabby had stolen a gun from Home Farm as she went out into the woods in search of "dead" Jamie, who she is convinced is back, and accidentally shot Will.
Thankfully, Will survived the gunshot as doctor Liam Cavanagh was called to Home Farm to treat him, where he promised not to report the incident as long as nobody ever finds out as he could be struck off.
Later in the episode, Kim Tate returned home and was left stunned to see Will injured, where he pretended that he had fallen in the woods.
However, soap watchers were quick to point out that surely Kim will notice that her glass cabinet has been smashed and one of her guns missing, therefore linking the two and leading to Gabby's downfall.
