Emmerdale's star Mike Parr has announced an exciting new project following his exit from the hit ITV soap.

In a post that shared a picture of the actor, the announcement read: "JUST ANNOUNCED: EMMERDALE'S MICHAEL PARR WILL STAR IN 'RITA, SUE & BOB TOO!' AT ST HELENS THEATRE ROYAL!
"The play tells the story of Rita and Sue, two working-class girls from a rundown council estate who are about to finish their final year at school. In their spare time, they earn money babysitting for married couple Bob and Michelle.
"Behind Michelle’s back, Bob embarks on an affair with both Rita and Sue, who take it in turns with him in his car in the countryside. Michelle eventually finds out and leaves lothario Bob."
During his time on the show, Mike was at the centre of many riveting storylines, including a violent robbery at Home Farm and a horrific acid attack which left him badly scarred.
His character Ross left Yorkshire in 2018 for a fresh start in Liverpool alongside Rebecca White and her son Sebastian.
It comes after Mike looked unrecognisable last month as he shared a snap of his new transformation, complete with a moustache, on Instagram.

Mike captioned the selfie with "Paul Sykes vibes, " referencing the British heavyweight boxer who also sported a similar moustache and hairdo.
The actor's 249K followers quickly went wild over the transformation as former Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson, who played Alicia Metcalfe, commented: "And Tom Selleck!!"
Earlier in the year, Michael declared that he'd loved to add James Bond to his filmography as he could see himself as the next 007.
The 35-year-old actor made the confession in May to his nearly 250,000 Instagram followers.
He shared a post from another Instagram user which read: "There's strong rumours on social media that Emmerdale actor Michael Parr will be playing the role of Paul Sykes in the forthcoming film, I'm saying nowt but he's a good look-a-like isn't he?!"
Sharing the post, Parr himself wrote: "This is actually my dream role.
