“Ask Erika if she feels the need to cut back on her glam squad since her husband is being sued for a huge amount of money,” asks a caller on Tuesday’s “Watch What Happens Live.”
Erika Jayne makes no apologies for indulging in a lavish glam squad because she says she pays her own bills.
When the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star stopped by "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" Tuesday night, a fan tweeted in and said, "Ask Erika if she feels the need to cut back on her glam squad since her husband is being sued for a huge amount of money."
Thomas Girardi, 79, made headlines in January when his law firm, Girardi Keese, was slapped with a $15 million lawsuit for allegedly failing to repay loans to Law Finance Group — which offers funding solutions to plaintiffs and attorneys — that totaled in the same amount.
"We got a lot of questions about this," Andy said of the topic. "Anything you wanna say about that?"
At first, Erika replied, "Uh, yeah, it’s a lawsuit, and you can’t comment on it," but she later added, "I pay my own bills, so no, I don’t."
Erika and Tom met while she was a cocktail waitress at a Los Angeles restaurant he used to frequent. She let him know she was single, slipped him her number and the two wed in January 1999. They celebrated their 20th anniversary earlier this year.
If you watch "RHOBH," you know Erika is a strong, opinionated woman of few words. While she’s made her stance on PuppyGate known over the course of this season (she also recently told Mila Kunis she was on Team Teddi), she didn’t miss any opportunities to throw some subtle shade Lisa Vanderpump’s way.
A caller asked the reality star how she felt when she heard Lisa say on Tuesday’s episode that all of her co-stars owed her an apology for accusing her of trying to make Dorit Kemsley look bad.
"Oh. No," Erika said with a touch of disgust. "I’m okay."
At the end of the episode, Dorit and husband PK stumbled upon a Radar Online article citing "sources" who knew information about PuppyGate Dorit claims only LVP and her team would know. It said Lisa was "extra hurt" and claimed she felt she had been "stabbed in the back" by the Kemsleys.
"This has got Lisa written all over it," Dorit said, claiming that LVP has a "relationship" with the publication.
"Dorit would not be on the show if it weren’t for Lisa," the article noted. It also referred to the dog as a "chihuahua mix," which Dorit said no one outside Lisa’s team knew, and said the dog "nipped" at one of Dorit’s kids, another red flag.
"When I had the conversation with Lisa after we gave Lucy [away] and I called her the next day, Lisa’s exact words were, ‘So she nipped at the kids? Well, you know, that can happen,’" Dorit recalled. "I remember thinking to myself, ‘That’s not a word that I’ve ever used.’"
"No, that’s an English word," PK noted.
Andy told Erika on Tuesday he hadn’t read the article but asked her what about it made it so "obvious" that Lisa was behind it.
"There were some words," she said, backing Dorit’s claims. "Who else knew about it in that detail? Dorit herself can really tell you, but there were some details in there that only a few people knew."
When Andy polled the audience, 54 percent said they felt Lisa planted the story. He then asked Erika’s co-guest, comedian and "RHOBH" fan Paul Scheer, how he felt about the situation.
"I don’t know. I don’t trust LVP! I mean, how can you? How can you?" he exclaimed. "She’s puppeteering, you know? With her Vander-puppets. She’s got minions out there. Minions! They’re all doing her work."
Erika was eating it all up. "Give it to me, baby," she said with a smile. "Give it to me, baby."
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
