Game of Thrones season 8: Major death CONFIRMED as Grey Worm star lets slip BIG spoiler?

Jacob and his Game of Thrones co-star Joe Dempsie, who plays Gendry, appeared on Sunday Brunch this morning to chat about the final series.

As they were probed about the show and the many number of deaths, Jacob said no one could feel safe but hinted his character could be in trouble.

Host Tim Lovejoy commented: “You sit there and you stay watching and they start killing everyone.”

Jacob replied: “You can never feel safe on this show,” hinting Grey Worm could perish in a big battle against the Night King (played by Vladimir Furdik).

He quickly corrected himself, remarking: “We can never feel safe.”

Joe added “people are still outraged and surprised” when their favourite characters are killed despite there being so many deaths throughout the past seven seasons.

The Gendry star also teased details of the first episode which will air at 2AM GMT in the UK.

“You know it’s great because the first episode is the one that sets it all up for the rest of the season,” he noted.

“But it’s a pretty good episode one.”

The actor also revealed the cast had known the ending since October 2017 when they all sat down for a read through together.

Joe explained: “For season eight, we all got the full script. But whether you just read your own stuff, I think some other actors don’t both with the other scenes.

“We all know how it ends. We did the read through in October of 2017.”

When asked if they spent much of the show talking about how it will all end, Jacob said the cast simply focussed on filming the best possible season.

“We were with each other for about a year after shooting the show and no one wants to talk about it then,” he laughed.

Meanwhile, ahead of the final series of the HBO show, one fan believes they have worked out how Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will die.

Reddit user FoundWaldo_ is certain Jaime will sacrifice himself to save Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) before dying in Brienne of Tarth’s (Gwendoline Christie) arms.

They wrote: “Jaime mentions to Bronn in Dorne that he wants to die in the arms of the woman he loves. He’s obviously talking about Cersei.

“But with Jaime and Brienne fighting wights in Winterfell, I anticipate Jamie will die in some valiant manner (perhaps getting Bran to safety – poetic redemption) and Brienne will cradle him in her arms at his passing.

“Jaime does love Brienne (romantic or not) so this would be an interesting twist.”

Game of Thrones season eight returns April 14 to HBO and airs on Sky Atlantic at 2am and 9pm a day later.
