Good Morning Britain viewers have urged ITV bosses to give Rob Rinder a full-time job on the hit morning programme.

This week, GMB underwent a major format change as Judge Rinder star Rob stepped in to replace regular host Richard Madeley alongside Charlotte Hawkins.

Veteran broadcaster Richard usually fronts the ITV show on a Monday, but he was absent from the studio on Monday and Tuesday with Rob in the hot seat instead.

Rob returned to the ITV studio after a long absence from the show as he last presented back in March alongside Susanna Reid.

Susanna is currently enjoying a long-term break from GMB and will return before September after her summer holiday.

It seems ITV viewers were delighted to see the TV lawyer return to their screens, with many urging bosses to make him a permanent presenter.

One fan on Twitter wrote: "#gmb can you please keep Rob Rinder?"

A second said: "I like Rob Rinder. Funny, empathetic bit takes no sh** #gmb."

Another replied: "Agree, be good if he was a regular presenter."

During Monday's show, one fan tweeted: "@GMB YAY Rob Rinder is back! Sooooo happy, love it when he is on. He's the best."

However, other viewers clearly weren't happy as one said: "Jesus, this Rob Rinder guy is as bad as Madeley."

Richard announced he was taking a break from GMB last week on Wednesday (August 11).
