Good Morning Britain bosses have reportedly decided to replace Piers Morgan with Ben Shephard.
It's reported that "consummate professional" Ben, 46, who often presents the show on Thursdays and Fridays, is the "safest option".
There had been a lot of speculation that Adil Ray or Ranvir Singh might get the role after Piers quit GMB earlier this month.
But, according to the Mail on Sunday, the job will go to Ben, who will present with Susanna Reid between Mondays and Wednesdays.
"Ben, who is adored by the staff and much of the audience, stepped in and the thought is now that he will work long term," a source told the publication.
"He certainly isn't like-for-like for Piers, but then who is?"
Ben will step into the role with Susanna Reid until September, when bosses will assess how their partnership is going down with viewers, it's reported.
Controversial Piers walked away from the show after Ofcom received more than 41,000 complaints about GMB following his comments about Meghan Markle.
Viewing figures began to drop since Piers walked, after they had their highest ever audience on Tuesday, March 9 with 1.29milion average viewers.

On Wednesday of this week, they had fallen to 790,000 – however this is not necessarily as worrying as it seems at first glance.
A spokesperson for GMB told us: "In real terms GMB share of viewing continues to grow.
"This week was up 6% when compared to the same week last year and year to date is up 17% compared to 2020."

Piers has refused to budge on his views of Meghan Markle, after he said that he "didn't believe" what she'd said about feeling suicidal and being turned away from any help by "The Institution".
He did, however, admit that it was "not for [him] to question if she felt suicidal".
On Twitter, Piers wrote: "On Monday, I said I didn't believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview.
"I've had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don't. If you did, OK.
"Freedom of speech is a hill I'm happy to die on.
"Thanks for all the love, and hate. I'm off to spend more time with my opinions."
He returned to ITV just days later with his pre-filmed Life Stories show, though.
