Kristen Bell starred as Gossip Girl's narrator in the original series and it's been confirmed that she'll be back again for the show's upcoming reboot.
Details on the HBO Max series have remained a bit scarce, but Gossip Girl fans will be pleased to know their favourite narrator is coming back.
She played the voice of the hit American drama show and according to TV Line , she will be back very soon to reprise her speaking role in the new series
An excited Kristen confirmed the news in a statement to the publication, saying: "Kristen Bell has always been and will always be the voice of Gossip Girl."
But prior to Thursday's confirmation, the star has remained mysterious regarding her possible return.
When previously asked about re-joining the world of lavish teenage parties, she said, "Maybe. I'll never tell," in an effort to keep her fans guessing.
The show is set to premiere on HBO Max, a brand new streaming service, in 2020.
It will start with a reported ten episodes – the crew have confirmed there are some changes in store as it adapts to the modern-day world.
The Hollywood Reporter stated social media will play a major role, with the show set to take place eight years after Gossip Girl ended.
Speaking earlier this year, executive producer Josh Schwartz stressed that the show is a "continuation" of the world introduced in the original series with all-new characters.
"There aren't, like, new actors playing Serena and Blair. It's not a remake. [It's] a continuation of that world," he explained, before adding that he wouldn't rule out the original stars making an appearance at all.
"We've reached out to all of them to let them know it was happening, and we would love for them to be involved if they want to be involved. But [we] certainly didn't want to make it contingent upon their [participation].
"They played those characters for six years, and if they felt like they were good with that, we wanted to respect that. But obviously, it would be great to see them again."
Although the series is set to make it's return next year, the air date has not yet been confirmed.
