Harry Redknapp’s future in danger after medical drama at I’m A Celebrity trial

Harry Redknapp’s future on I’m A Celebrity was put in danger after a medical drama during his final ever Bushtucker Trial.

The former West Ham and Spurs manager needed urgent assistance from Medic Bob just one day before the live final.

Harry took part in an endurance trial, called Danger Down Under, where he had to climb into an underground chamber through a trapdoor.

Harry had to stay strapped in flat on his back buried underground for five minutes while joined by cockroaches, crickets, mealworms and his biggest fear – rats.

But disaster struck when Harry noticed that something had crawled into his ear, but the brave football manager decided to carry on until the end.

Once Harry completed the trial the chamber opened but he still thought he had something in his ear.

Nervous Harry stood still as Medic Bob rushed in and swiftly removed the cricket from inside his ear.

“That was a tough one” said Harry after securing all five stars.

Holly added: “That really was all your nightmares come true.”

When asked about the rats, Harry said “I’m not too keen on them, one started to go up my trouser leg shorts and I said you won’t find much up there.”

Harry also joked about being buried after looking at the trap door for the first time.

“When you get to my age that don’t look great,” he said. “Oh give me a few years yet.”

Harry didn’t even realise he had been joined by rats straight away as it was so dark.

When Dec asked if he had any idea what else was in there, Harry was concentrating so hard he didn’t reply.

“He’s going up my shorts, he won’t find a lot up there,” said Harry after regaining his composure.

He added: “Oh don’t, I hate rats, I’m scared of rats, don’t let one go up my leg please, oh my god.” Harry.

The fan favourite then screamed and complained that one of the 80 rats that had joined him was scratching his face.

Harry then told Dec and Holly that one of the rats had gone in his "bloody ear".

“It’s gone in my ear, I swear” said Harry.

With just seconds remaining, Harry joked: “Can’t you whistle ref?”

He managed to complete the trial and secured desserts, a drink and a treat for camp.
