Helen Skelton strips down to a bikini to stay cool in the UK's heatwave

HELEN Skelton stripped down to her bikini to stay cool in the UK's heatwave earlier today.

The 36-year-old is currently holidaying near Whitby Beach in Yorkshire with her husband Richie Myler, 29, and two kids Ernie, four, and Louis, two.

Temperatures in Britain soared to 33.2C at midday on Monday, making it the hottest August Bank Holiday ever.

And Helen has certainly been making the most of the good weather, by displaying her enviable figure at the beach.

The presenter took to Instagram this morning, as she soaked up the heat in a blue and red floral halterneck bikini and striking red sun hat.

She captioned the snap: "Feeling like the stars have aligned because the sun came out for some UK beach time….. #UKsummer #timeout #family#yorkshire #beach."

Fans immediately took to the comments to praise her for summer look.

"You look absolutely amazing Helen skeleton xx," commented one.

While another added: "Looking good Helen. Fantastic figure."

A third said: "Beautiful, love your bikini xx."

Helen also shared snaps of the stunning scenery, as well as her husband and children to her social media over the weekend.

In one snap of the coastline, she wrote: "Some pretty special places along the coast of our little isle. #grateful #uksummer#staycation #yorkshire #explore#freshair #familytime."

While another showed her in a burgundy two-piece standing in the sea behind her son, Ernie, captioned: "Summer. We like you. #beachday #vanlife#chasingthesun #beach #campers."

And a third showed her holding the tot above the waves, as she stood beside her husband, who was holding their younget child, Louis.

Helen is best known for presenting children's programmes Newsround and Blue Peter from 2008 until 2014.

She has also worked as a BBC reporter on several sporting events including the London Marathon Highlights Show.

Since 2014 she also presented various segments of Countryfile alongside the likes of Matt Baker and Ellie Harrison.
