The end of the year episode will air the next stage in the County Lines plotline as the children in the village are raided and confronted by police.

Meanwhile, Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) will come to terms with the havoc she has caused but by the time the New year episode rolls around, it might be too late to save her.

As she turns to Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell), the pair will declare their love for one another after a difficult few months.

But with everything Juliet has become involved in, such as taking more responsibilities in Victor's business, do they stand any chance of a happy ending?

A source told The Metro: "Hollyoaks is not losing any momentum after the big birthday week.

"As far as we’re concerned, the focus is now very much on delivering the blockbuster storylines to end the year, answering the questions posed by last New Year and starting 2021 with some gripping storylines."

This week marks Hollyoaks 25th anniversary and the soap decided to acknowledge it with a video "love letter", which featured the soap's entire cast.

The episode saw Yasmine Maalik (Haiesha Mistry) preparing to propose to Tom Cunningham (Tom Cunningham) while the letter is read out by Hollyoaks' adult cast.
