A FORMER reality star has opened up on his experience of being on Towie and Geordie Shore, admitting he only had drama in his life when starring on the series’.
Ricky Rayment, 32, starred on hit ITV reality show Towie from 2012 to 2015.
He was also engaged to Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson in 2015 after a whirlwind four months of dating, but it came to an end two months later.
Now, the star has left that world behind him and enjoys his brand new career as a fisherman.
Ricky said: “I wouldn’t say I missed reality TV. Obviously it was a big part of my life and I did it for four years or five years so I did do it for a big chunk but that was enough for me.
“It’s a stressful world and it can create a lot of anxiety. With Towie there were so many arguments and disagreements and without the show I never have arguments or disagreements.”

Ricky continued: “Sometimes I look back at it and think yes I miss it, but then actually I look back and think how glad I am that I’m not involved in all the arguments and screaming anymore.
“I’m a relaxed guy. I like going out and doing my fishing and I don’t want any drama like that in my life or conflict.”
Ricky said he’s lost touch with the people he starred on Towie with, which included the likes of Bobby Norris, Billie Faiers, Dan Osborne, Chloe Sims and Billi Mucklow.
He added: “I don’t speak to people from the show, none of them really. I’ve lost contact with all of them to be honest.

“We lead different lives and I’m not so much out of the scene but I’m just not involved as much now. I don’t see them and like doing my own thing.”
One famous face Ricky is in touch with, however, is Joe Swash.
The close pals filmed an exciting TV pilot this week all centring around their love of fishing.
Joe, 41, took to the lakes with Ricky yesterday as they began filming the pilot for their new show.
Both the stars are keen fishermen and have made no secret of their passion to sit lakeside and reel in a catch.
Ricky has swapped telly for trout and whiles away many of his hours on his lakes, or building on his fishing business, named Filthy Hooker.
Meanwhile, Stacey Solomon’s husband Joe has become a keen fisherman in recent years, helped and spurred on by close friend Ricky.
Ricky said: “It’s just a trailer like a pilot and it’s with Joe Swash who is my good pal, and also two of his best pals. They were best men at his wedding so they’ll be involved in this too. We’re doing a trailer and it’s all about fishing. It’ll be a fishing based show.
