I’m A Celeb fan sneaks into Gwrych Castle after tricking security on ITV set

A mum said she bypassed security checkpoints to sneak into the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! castle.

Emma Louise, 39, was collecting her caravan near Abergele's Gwrych Castle with her partner Andrew, 36, when they decided to drive towards it to check it out.

They inadvertently managed to drive past the first security checkpoint without showing any ID or passes, she said.

They found themselves on the path towards the set of the ITV show, due to start next week.

The couple then drove through five more check points before reaching a dead-end and had a walk around the site on Sunday (November 14), she said.

The mum-of-two checked out the iconic kiosk – Ye Olde Shoppe – and saw the trucks full of costumes and kit, as well as two towers, and the front of the castle walkway.

Emma from Liverpool said: "We have a caravan in Wales and we were in the area and just wanted to see if we could take a peep.

"My boyfriend kept driving and we made it through the first security check no problem.

Geordie duo Ant and Dec are set to host the iconic show once more, and they recently appeared in a teaser trailer which showed them in medieval armour.

The famous presenters could be seen dressed as knights huddling around a campfire, with the pair looking freezing as they battle the cold weather.

Dec then asked: "A frosty reception at Cledwyn’s?", referring to Kiosk Cledwyn, who replaced Kiosk Kev on last year's series.
