Inside Coronation Street’s Angela Griffin’s stunning Victorian villa with huge kitchen, a full wall of windows and sumptuous sofa – The Sun

CORONATION Street's Angela Griffin has been spending the last few months renovating her new London home – and it now features a huge kitchen, a full wall of windows and sumptuous sofa.

The Victorian pad also has underfloor heating, a rustic drinks trolley and a wood-burning stove.

Angela, who returns to Coronation Street in coming weeks after 20 years, has been documenting her renovations on a blog.

The impressive new kitchen has dark blue units, white worktops and a breakfast bar beneath a huge window looking out into the garden.

It has a huge double fridge-freezer and two stacked ovens – perfect for hosting dinner parties for all her celebrity friends.

But the pièce de résistance is the fabulous pattern-tile flooring.

"Exactly how we wanted it. It’s been a long road but we got here in the end (well nearly. Couple of little bits to finish)," Angela proudly says.

The kitchen is open plan to a living area, which has two grand sofas and a fireplace as the focal point.

The flooring – which is heated – is zig-zac wooden panels, with a rustic-looking bird print wallpaper on one feature wall.

The large wooden dining table sits eight people, with the actress revealing she 'christened it' two days ago when she had guests over for dinner.

In the corner is a drinks trolley in copper, which matches the standing lamp in the corner of the room which creates a soft and relaxed atmosphere.

But, as Angela says, the "cherry on our refurb cake is the bi-fold doors", which lead out into a spacious garden and allow a lot of sunlight into the room.

In another room, which has yet to be completely restored, Angela has put shutters on the window, which she loves as it "helps heat escaping from the original sash window" which she has kept in the property.
