Inside Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi's chic white house with exposed brick and statement furniture

EMMERDALE'S Roxy Shahidi has many talents from acting to yoga guru, but it seems she can add interior designer to the list.

The 37-year-old actress lives in a stunningly chic abode with white floorboards, exposed brick and bright statement furniture.

Roxy who has played Leyla Harding on the ITV soap off-and-on since 2008 lives in Nottingham with actor husband Arsher Ali and their daughter, born in 2008.

She proudly shows off her home in her online yoga classes which she began posting on her YogaRox YouTube channel about a month ago, where she has already gained almost 5,000 subscribers.

Roxy's favourite place to host the popular yoga classes is in a converted lounge space.

A white colour landscape dominates the sun filled room, including painted white floorboards, fireplace and matching cabinet complete with colourful glassware.

The corner of the room boasts a 60s inspired blue leather armchair complete with a loud yellow and black spotted throw pillow.

The fireplace is surrounded by exposed brick and is topped with lively indoor plants and a huge print of Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo.

Through the window fans get a glimpse of her sunny courtyard surrounded by a brick fence.

Another room in the house where Roxy loves to host her yoga videos includes polished floorboards, a wooden door and exposed wooden beams in the ceiling.

The heavy wooden kitchen table also sticks to the home's natural feel and leads out onto a wooden patio in the leafy green backyard.

Another favourite spot of Roxy's to practice her yoga is in the home's front room, complete with bay windows and dark grey walls.

The keen yogi set up a yoga lunch club in Nottingham's Creative Quarter.

She married fellow actor, Arsher, in 2010 and regularly posts inspirational messages to her Instagram.

Roxy is best known for her role as ditzy Leyla Harding in Emmerdale who is currently embroiled in a dark stalker storyline.

Viewers have seen the character being targeted by a mysterious person who has made her the victim of some worrying incidents over the past few months.

And now Emmerdale star Roxy has revealed things are set to get even worse for the business owner as she experiences a home invasion.

She teased: “That's the climax of the scary events. I don't think there could be anything more intimidating than going into a space where you think you're safe and someone being there.”
