Jason Momoa Assures Henry Cavill Isn’t Retiring as Superman

AceShowbiz -In case you’re not convinced that Henry Cavill is still billed as Superman, Jason Momoa is here to cast aside all doubt. Attending the premiere of his new movie “Aquaman” at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday, December 12, the hunky actor said that Cavill isn’t done playing the Man of Steel.

Cavill’s manager Dany Garcia also denied the reports, insisting that the actor is currently still the studio’s Superman. “Be peaceful, the cape is still in his closet. [Warner Bros. Pictures] has been and continues to be our partners as they evolve the DC Universe. Anticipate a WB statement later today,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Cavill had a cryptic response to his exit rumors. He posted on Instagram a video of him wearing a Krypton Lifting Team T-shirt and holding up a Superman toy. “Today was exciting #Superman,” he wrote in the caption.

Cavill last appeared as Superman in 2017’s “Justice League“, where his character teams up with Momoa’s Aquaman, Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck‘s Batman and Ezra Miller‘s The Flash. While a solo Aquaman movie will be released on December 21 and a “Wonder Woman” sequel is set to arrive on June 5, 2020, a “Batman v Superman” sequel has yet to be greenlit by Warner Bros. following the lukewarm reception at box office and unfavorable reviews from critics for the 2016 movie.
