Lad given fake number by girl on holiday shocked when he calls and it's actually Maya Jama – who loves it

MAYA Jama has joked about the "most random call ever" after she unexpectedly answered the phone to a fan.

The TV and radio host was called on FaceTime by the lad after he was given the wrong number by a girl after meeting her on holiday in Greece.

Maya, 26, told the hilarious story after fan Luke Worley reminded her of the awkward moment on Twitter alongside a snap of the call.

"So I got chatting to some girl called Sarah on holiday in Kos and she gave me her number," fan Luke explained of the unlikely situation.

"The next day I tried calling her and she gave me the wrong number…. Turned out the random number she gave me was Maya Jama."

Alongside a series of laughing emojis, he concluded the tweet by describing the situation as "actually mental" and tagging the radio presenter.

Pasted below the tweet was a screen shot of Maya on FaceTime with him, in which she blew a kiss in his direction while smiling wide.

Maya went on to share the tweet to her following, describing it as "the most random phone call" she had ever had.

Fans couldn't believe the chances of what happened, and rushed to the comments section to praise Maya for picking up the phone.

"She seems so sound tbf, fair play not sharing her number around too," one man penned in the comments.

"She was wicked considering I'm a randomer…and I wouldn't never do that," Luke respectfully replied.

"Amazing! So Sarah's number is 1 digit different to Maya's big win for you this," another agreed of the FaceTime call.

A third chimed in: "That's mad and totally makes up for being given the random number," while a fourth said: "Amazing story. Bloody hilarious."

Yesterday, Maya delighted her fans by sharing a clip of her lookalike mum Sadie, 44, as she joined her for a day of filming.

Posting a video during a break from filming with Chunkz, an excited Maya told her followers: “Mum’s here”.

Sadie previously appeared alongside Maya in All Round To Mrs Brown’s Boys and once again surprised viewers with her appearance.

Maya admitted they often get mistaken for sisters, adding: "All my boyfriends and friends that were guys fancied her."

Maya is incredibly close to her mum Sadie, who she grew up with in Bristol alongside brother Omar.

Speaking about their relationship previously, Maya told the Evening Standard: "She had me at 18, so our relationship was a bit different. I rebelled less because I was quite free.

"My mum's always been like, 'I want you to have your experiences — just tell me. I’m not going to judge you or shout at you.'"
