X Factor’s future is currently up in the air after ratings continued to fall last year.

In a bid to shake things up, Simon and the producers but the standard version of the show on ice for 2019 – instead replacing it with a Celebrity version and a mini Band series.

While unconfirmed, it’s thought X-Factor: The Band was rush-released due to Little Mix’s decision to launch their own talent show in 2020.

Simon admitted that the week-long series was put together with just a few weeks notice prompting madness behind the scenes.
