Lorraine Kelly has tipped a new face to take over her ITV talk show when she's not in the studio.

On today's episode (April 22) of Lorraine, guest Ria Hebden was there to share her top picks for entertainment this weekend – a segment called Ria's Round Up.

Ria teased the new episode of Britain's Got Talent airing this weekend and said: "There's one thing I can tell you about this weekend, there's going to be an impressionist taking part impersonating someone very special."

Presenter Lorraine gave a puzzled looked and seemed very intrigued at who the impressionist would be imitating.

As the clip of Saturday's episode began to play, it was evident that the impression was that of Lorraine.

As the contestant said: “Hello welcome back”, the audience are thrown into fits of laughter with the accuracy of the impression, notably down to her nailing Lorraine’s Scottish accent.

Amanda Holden’s laugh echoed through the London Palladium while David Walliams let out a huge “Yeah” after realising who it was.

After the 30-second clip ended, Lorraine giggled as she asked: "Do I really sound like that?

"You know what, If I'm ever off, she can come in and take over and nobody will be able to tell the difference."

Ria then uttered that the impression was "fantastic" while Lorraine assured: “I will watch that this weekend.”

It seems the BGT contestant isn't the only person giving an impression of Lorraine a go.

Also in the upcoming episode of the ITV talent competition, judge Amanda reveals she has another skill – she can also do impressions, and she shows that she can do a mean one of the daytime TV favourite.

This may not come as a surprise to everyone however, as in November 2020, Amanda shocked her Heart FM co-stars with an impressive Margaret Thatcher impression.

When discussing the Netflix series, The Crown, Amanda performed the impression to co-hosts Jamie Theakston and showbiz reporter Ashley Roberts, 40.

Amanda said in the Thatcher's voice: "I really like her [Gillian Anderson] as Margaret Thatcher" to which Ashley replied: "Oh my god, that's so good!"
