Lucifer fans are currently awaiting the second half of season five to be released on Netflix. However, with the end of the show now in sight, some viewers have begun speculating what the future might hold for Chloe Decker (played by Lauren German) and Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis).

Will Chloe Decker and Lucifer end up together in Heaven?

For a while, fans were under the impression the Netflix series Lucifer was going to end after its fifth season.

However, earlier this year, the streaming platform confirmed it will be bringing the show back for a final season six.

Not too much is known about what will happen yet but the stars and showrunners have revealed it will bring Chloe and Lucifer’s story to a final end.

Although how exactly it will do this is a point of worry among fans of the devilish drama.

This is because Chloe and Lucifer may not be able to stay together for eternity.

As fans of the show will know, Lucifer is an angel but Chloe is seemingly mortal.

As a result, some viewers have begun speculating how there might be able to be a happy ending for the beloved pair.

One major theory which has emerged among viewers is if Chloe and Lucifer might end the show in Heaven.

Posting on Reddit, fan ThespianCookie wrote: “I have a feeling Chloe will die in the end.

“Lucifer will take her soul up to heaven and to his surprise will be allowed in fully redeemed where he will spend eternity with Chloe.”

Another viewer named Brutalace agreed, adding: “Chloe is definitely some kind of a celestial, so I think whenever/if she dies we will go to heaven and visit her father and maybe Charlotte as well.

“But as I said: some kind of celestial – she will be able to visit or roam a little bit. She will definitely see Lucifer again, either on Earth or Hell, maybe Heaven as well.”

A third user named csummerss also wrote along similar lines: “Thinking Lucifer ends up taking Chloe to heaven signifying that he in fact has redeemed himself enough.”

This is certainly an interesting theory and would allow the characters to remain together after Chloe’s mortal life ends.

So far the stars of the show have been pretty tightlipped on what will happen at the end.

However, one thing which has been teased is whether or not it will be a happy ending for Deckerstar.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly back in January, star Tom Ellis said of the finale: “I think there is a happy ending.

“I think my favourite stories have always been stories that the message at the end is hope.

“And so I think we’re pushing somewhere towards that on this.”

While his Amenadiel co-star DB Woodside also weighed in on how the story will end.

He told the publication: “I think it’s fantastic. I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people.

“I don’t think it’s going to be the ending that everyone necessarily assumes it could be but I don’t think it’s going to be the kind of ending where people are disappointed.”

Fans will have to just keep tuning into the show to find out what all of this means for the characters.
