Christmas advert season is in full swing with retailers from John Lewis to Tesco already unveiling their videos. Now O2 has released its first-ever Christmas advert for viewers to watch and get into the festive spirit.
Now the weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter, Christmas seems just around the corner.
This is certainly the attitude of retailers as well as the 2020 Christmas adverts begin to drop.
There’s been a lot of anticipation around John Lewis’ and Aldi’s offerings but now O2 has joined the fray with its first Christmas advert.
The advert features 10-year-old ice skater Darcy alongside O2’s helpful robot Bubl.
The video begins with the young skater taking her first steps on the ice.
At her side to help her on the way is Bubl, which O2 is using to highlight how they’re always there to offer a helping hand.
As the advert continues, Darcy and Bubl progress and get lost in the magical surroundings.
Then it is revealed this was all a dream and Darcy appears at home with her sister Lexi.
The pair are watching Olaf’s Frozen Adventure on Disney+ together.
This is because O2 offers its customers 12 months of free subscription to the streaming platform.
Viewers will first be able to watch it on their screens on Saturday, November 14.
This is because it will be broadcast during the advert break of The Voice UK final.

Those wanting to watch it should tune in at 9.20pm in order to see it in full.
According to O2, the video was inspired by their work with the NSPCC to keep children safe online.
This is especially important as more and more people will be keeping in touch online over the Christmas period this year.
Speaking about the advert, Chief Marketing Officer at O2 Nina Bibby revealed the inspiration behind it.
She said: “Our story brings to life the power of imagination, and the importance of connectivity at a time when we might be apart from the people and things we love.
“At O2, we place importance on the great value we bring to our customers, with unbeatable offers on technology and low monthly prices.
“We also want to celebrate our great offers, including up to 12 months Disney+ on us.
“And we wanted to bring some Christmas magic to screens this year, and Darcy is a true star.
“It’s magical to see her doing the sport she loves alongside our helpful robot Bubl.”
