Our Yorkshire Farm has been the escapism fans have needed throughout the pandemic, taking viewers back to nature with the docu-series. The Channel 5 show follows the lives of Amanda and Clive Owen and their nine children as they juggle family life with running the farm. They will soon embark on a massive change as they get ready to leave Ravenseat for good.

Ravenseat Farm has been the home of Amanda Owen and her husband Clive for more than 20 years.

The cottage where they live does not belong to them though as it is owned by billionaire Robert Miller who is the co-founder of Duty Free Shops.

Amanda was eager to put down roots for her family so when they saw a derelict cottage in Anty Johns, Upper Swaledale, was up for sale, she said it was a “no brainer”.

She explained to The Home Page: “You feel very temporary like we’re just part of the bigger story before it’s passed on to someone else.”

In the final episode of season five, Amanda and Clive talked about how they were getting ready for the move.

However, their new property which is just a mile away from Ravenseat, hasn’t been lived in for years and is run down.

The family are having to do a lot of work on the house before they are able to move in.

Earlier in the series, Amanda was seen trying to find a running water supply nearby as the house hasn’t got water, electricity or heating as of yet.

Can you visit Amanda Owen’s new farm at Anty Johns, Upper Swaledale?

While only part of Ravenseat Farm is open to the public as it is a working farm, fans are able to visit.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess has welcomed visitors to have a walk around, breathe in the fresh air and stop off for cream teas.

There has also been the option to stay overnight at either the traditional Shepherd’s Hut or a night at a building on the outskirts of the farm.

Visiting time for 2021 is now over but fans will be able to go back to Ravenseat Farm in spring next year.

Amanda has not yet disclosed if they will permit visitors to their new farm at Anty Johns.

This will once again be a working farm and, unlike Ravenseat, there will not be other cottages for overnight guests or facilities for cream teas.

As Ravenseat is owned by Miller, these extras accommodating visitors were financially provided by him, whereas the Owen family are going to be putting all of their energy into making their new house a home.

Anty Johns is going to be a working farm as well so it could be quite sometime before the family even starts to think about guests.

Our Yorkshire Farm aired its final episode on Tuesday, November 16, on Channel 5.

So far, there has been no talk of the show returning for a sixth season.

But given the popularity of the docu-series, it does seem highly likely that we’ll be seeing more of Amanda Owen and her family.

Our Yorkshire Farm is available to watch on My5.
