Phillip Schofield was in hysterics after Holly Willoughby made a strange claim about sloths.
The pair had just watched a special segment about a retirement home for sloths, a place in Tenby, Wales, which specialises in looking after sloths after they have been in the zoo.
The segment jokingly gave the sloths Welsh accents as the handlers also spoke about how they take care of the animals.
But as the segment came to an end, Holly and Phil were seen giggling, as Holly started to explain what happened.
Phil was shocked she was even admitting to her strange belief, but she went ahead anyway, as Holly said: "Ok I thought, I’m sure I’ve been told and we frantically googled it, that if you turn a sloth up the right way it will explode."
Phil had no idea where she got that idea from, asking whether it was her time in Australia for I’m A Celebrity which did the trick.
She disagreed, saying: "No, I’ve definitely heard that but I don’t know if that’s true."
Phil chimed in: "The man said they go swimming, they don’t swim on their backs? They don’t climb down the tree and…"
At this, Phil tried to do a strange shimmy to show what they do not do, as Holly then said apparently sloths do not fart either, which Phil joked probably would see them explode.
After some time doing other things, the pair revisited the strange idea with Holly saying: "They only poo every three weeks!
"Apparently if gases accumulated in their intenstinves over a long time they might get sick or even burst.
"It was in the depths of my mind but I think this is what happened so it’s not completely out of the ordinary."
Phil then said one of the handlers said: "I can happily confirm we haven’t experienced any exploding sloths whatsoever… they do look awkward yet certainly do not explode."
He then spoke to a senior zookeeper at London Zoo, who said it was not true at all.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
