Phillip Schofield steps in as nuns leave Holly Willoughby in tears on This Morning

Holly Willoughby grills influencer who travelled to Dubai

The This Morning hosts welcomed two nuns from the Convent of Poor Clares onto the show to talk about an album of songs they have recorded last year. However as the interview came to an end, Holly Willoughby broke down in tears as the nuns shared a message of encouragement to everyone struggling with lockdown.

As Holly wiped away tears she told co-host Phillip Schofield: “You’ll have to say this. You’ll have to take over.”

Phillip stepped in to tell viewers what was coming up after the break as Holly sorted herself out.

Those tuning in at home were also moved by the nuns of Poor Clares and took to Twitter to comment on the moving segment.

“Really moving words and segment – we need more of the nuns at this awful time…#thismorning,” one viewer commented.
