Pregnant Shaughna Phillips breaks silence after she’s rushed to hospital ‘in labour’ | The Sun

SHAUGHNA Phillips has broken her silence after being rushed to hospital and told she was in the early stages of labour.

The Love Island star was sent home with her baby not quite ready to arrive, and she has now shed some light on her feelings ahead of the birth.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "When you're going to give birth in a few weeks but they say 'you can do this'."

She added a clip of Will Ferrell screaming: "I'm so f***ing scared right now, you shut up."

The funny quote is an outtake from cop comedy The Other Guys featuring Will and Mark Wahlberg.

Yesterday Shaughna, 28, was urged by fans not to try and speed up her birth after her dash to The Portland maternity unit in London.

One follower wrote: "I wouldn't encourage her to do anything to speed up the process. Babies need to stay there until 40 weeks.

"I had mine at 34 and you don't know if the baby will end up having any issues later, even if they aren't major. Let that baby finish cooking."

Other fans couldn't help but notice that she looked very glamorous for someone about to give birth.

One fan wrote: "So your looking glam to be in labour x."

Shaughna made the emergency dash yesterday after finishing her final work engagement before her baby's arrival.

She wrote on Instagram: "Soooo what started as a 'come to work with me' reel, turned into a 'come to the hospital with me' reel.

"I had my last job before baby this morning, an international women’s day panel, and just before my cab arrived, things took a turn and I was on the way to the hospital, and have been told I’m in early labour.

"Home now, baby still tucked up nicely, and waiting for nature to do it’s thang."

Dressed in a bright green outfit, Shaughna initially looked worried in the taxi as it whizzed by the Thames, but she was smiling in hospital as she was pushed through corridors before being hooked up to monitors.

At the weekend, she celebrated her baby shower with friends and family.
