Sir Rod Stewart made an appearance on Loose Women to discuss his new album but the conversation quickly turned towards his personal life, and the seasoned rock star had a unique way of describing his teenage antics.
The panelists began discussing a viral video that has been circulating on the internet of Sir Rod Stewart and his family.
They played the clip of Rod and his family helping to clean up after eating a meal, getting everyone involved and playing music whilst they washed.
Charlene White said to the singer: “You’ve got eight kids, that’s a range of ages, but what’s been wonderful is that you’ve been able to experience them all in slightly different ways in terms of the way that you parent, which must be wonderful for you both.”
Sir Rod replied: “Yeah, with the age group from 10 up to 57,” to which the panelists gasped.
Rod pointed jokingly and said “shocked” before continuing on to say: “I had a naughty winkle when I was a teenager.”
This comment set the panel off in hysterics and Brenda Edwards was pictured pulling a rather surprised face at the camera.
He turned his head towards the backstage area and said: “Sorry guys!” presumably an apology to the producers for the cheeky comment.
“You have to be eight different fathers, you can’t be the same dad to your 26-year-old as you are to your 10-year-old.”
Charlene complemented his good looking family and went on to further discuss Rod’s recent viral fame, as she said: “I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Brenda loves singing your tracks and posting them on her socials and she recorded one for Sir Rod today, didn’t you?”
Brenda replied: “I did a special one, it’s a remix just for you,” and a video of Brenda singing Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? flashed on screen.
She was filmed singing loudly and walking down a corridor backstage, sporting a bright white jumpsuit. Rod’s classic anthem has recently surged in popularity thanks to the video sharing app TikTok.
Brenda proposed a duet with Rod, to which he responded: “That was brilliant. Did you know I was in the dressing room?"
“There was a lady […] and I didn’t realise she was there with Rod, I was so embarrassed,” admitted Brenda before continuing on: “Two strong voices, I think that would be nice together you know, a nice blend.”
“We’ll do something together,” said Rod before Charlene suggested “Oh, I feel a Christmas song coming on guys!”
