Are you holding your breath for director Jason Reitman’s upcoming Ghostbusters movie, the news of which was broken by EW’s Anthony Breznican on Tuesday? Well, that’s silly. They’ve got to cast the movie, and then they have to shoot it. There’ll be effects stuff to add, and editing, and foley work, and all that malarkey. You’ll be long dead before it comes out!
What you can do while you wait is check out a new fake trailer put together by the good folks over at Funny or Die that cunningly, and hilariously, combines the trailer for the Jake Gyllenhaal-starring, painting-themed horror-thriller Velvet Buzzsaw with footage from the Bill Murray-starring, painting-themed comedy Ghostbusters II.
Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria! Okay, so that’s a quote from the first Ghostbusters, obviously. But it’s a fun clip nonetheless — and you can see it exclusively above.
