A guest on Stacey Solomon’s Sort Your Life Out was reduced to tears after Stacey made an incredible gesture during her home’s transformation.
Stacey, who yesterday shared an adorable montage of her new baby Belle, is the host of the BBC show which aims to help unclutter people's homes and, as the title suggests, sort their lives out.
During Wednesday’s episode, NHS nurse Aimee and her husband Stuart enlisted Stacey’s help to declutter their homes alongside the show’s experts, cleaning guru Iwan Carrington, organising maven Dilly Carter and upcycling extraordinaire Robert Bent.
Aimee struggled to get rid of one item in particular because it held great sentimental for her and her daughter Mollie, who has Down's syndrome.
You see, after Mollie’s birth, she was forced to undergo open-heart surgery, and her mum bought her a baby chair to help her sit up during the recovery process.
Aimee told Stacey that she was struggling to give the chair up because “I want to get rid of it but that has a lot of memories in the hospital and coming home. It's hard."
"It's just a chair,” she tearily added, which prompted the former X Factor contestant to pull her in for a hug.
Stacey replied: "You've done such an amazing job, this hasn't done that job for you, you have. While that might have comforted her now and again, a cuddle would have done the same."
But once Aimee decided to let go of the chair, Stacey told the camera: "I think it's so incredible that Aimee has decided to let it go, but a part of me thinks I don't want to just let it go off into the abyss. So I'm going to sneak it off and try and find a way of turning it into something else.
"I just can't let it go. I'm worse than them, I tell you!" she added.
After fully transforming the couple’s home, Stacey revealed that she had converted the baby chair into a very special gift.
The fabric from the chair was turned into a patchwork teddy bear for Mollie and Aimee to enjoy, with Stacey telling the nurse: “I know how much you loved the chair and how much it meant to you, so we took the fabric and decided to make it into a teddy bear.”
It comes as Stacey and her husband, Joe Swash, recently welcomed their third child together – a baby daughter called Belle.
The couple, who married last year in a ceremony at their home Pickle Cottage, share son Rex, three, and daughter Rose, 15 months.
Stacey also has two older sons from previous relationships; Leighton, 10, who she shares with ex Aaron Barnham, and Zach, 14, whose father is Dean Cox. While Joe shares his oldest child Harry, 13, with ex Emma Sophocleous.
