Spice Girls hit by hack after reworked version of Wannabe by Diplo and Charli XCX leaks online

MUSIC to herald the return of the Spice Girls has been leaked days before their first live show.

The girls gave permission for US DJ Diplo to sample their 1996 debut single Wannabe for a track instead of returning with new music of their own.

But with their first live show set for Friday, hackers have shared the Diplo tune, called Spicy, online.

It features vocals from Brit singer Charli XCX and has been made with little-known French producer Herve Pagez.

The same thing happened in 2016, when the first Spice Girls tune for almost a decade, Song For Her, was leaked. It has never had an official release.

A music insider said: “This song has been years in the making. It’s really disappointing that it’s been leaked at the last minute.

“But people who have heard it seem to be loving it, which is promising ahead of its release.

“Charli sings the verses and the chorus has been mashed up and turned on its head for a really cool dance song.

“It’s got an incredible video, which will be out next week.

“Sadly the Spice Girls themselves aren’t in it, but it’s going to be huge.”

The group start their Spice World reunion tour in Dublin. It will feature Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Mel B but there will be no Victoria Beckham.

The excited girlband said they were all ready for the opening night after weeks of rehearsals.

They shared these backstage photos, along with a picture of their monumental stage complete with large screens and a Spice World set piece in the centre.

After so many years of stops and starts, the Spice Girls back on that stage will be a sight to behold.

SINGING superstar CHER has releaseed a “genderless” fragrance, Eau de Couture by Cher.

She said at the launch: “We’ve come a long, long way since I first put out a perfume in 1987 so I really do believe this is genderless.”

Leomie prem 'n' proper

NEW Victoria’s Secret Angel Leomie Anderson looks at home on the Cannes red carpet yesterday for the premiere of Quentin Tarantino movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

The Brit, unveiled by the lingerie firm last month, wore this dazzling ruffled gown ahead of the screening of the hotly-anticipated film.

It stars Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, who formed an impressive line-up with director Tarantino.

Leo’s girlfriend Camila Morrone went solo at the film festival in the South of France, while fellow model Hana Cross kept close to her photographer boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham – despite recently being pictured in a lovers’ quarrel.

I prefer Brooklyn in front of the lens rather than behind it – at least while Hana is with him.

MEL B will have to wear an eyepatch for the Spice Girls tour.

She needed hospital treatment last week after losing the vision in her right eye and getting blurring in the left.

After sharing the photo below online and telling of her pain and fear, Mel wrote: “I’m no longer worried my condition will get worse. My problem now is I have to find a very cool Scary eye- patch. Does anyone – apart from Madonna – know where I can get one?”

It sounds traumatic but she hasn’t lost her sense of humour.

Rags to Rich-ard

RICHARD Blackwood always manages to look effortlessly cool in his trademark leather jackets or blazers.

It only make sense then that he plans to launch a clothing line as he tries to make it in America.

The former EastEnders actor has been in Los Angeles for Hollywood auditions and doing stand-up gigs.

He said at former wag Lizzie Cundy’s Tales From The Red Carpet book launch: “I’m bringing out a clothing range and I’m trying to crack America, because that’s always been the one thing I wanted to do. The stand-up has been received really well in the US.”

Richard was among a host of celebs at Tramp nightclub in London’s West End, including Lizzie’s showbiz pals Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Dancing On Ice winner James Jordan and Towie’s Shelby Tribble.

No one throws a party like Lizzie.

Nat denies Moby romance

HOLLYWOOD star Natalie Portman has lashed out at “creepy” US singer Moby after he revealed they had briefly dated in 2001.

The actress insists she was just 18 when he, then 33, made a move on her.

The musician, real name Richard Hall, told of the dates in his autobiography, Then It Fell Apart, which came out last month.

He said he was relieved when she ended it because he was suffering crippling anxiety.

But she hit back: “I was surprised he characterised the very short time that I knew him as dating, because my recollection is a much older man being creepy with me when I had just graduated high school.

“He said I was 20, I wasn’t. I had just turned 18.

“That he used this story to sell his book was disturbing.”

She added of Moby, behind 1999 hit Porcelain: “We hung out a handful of times before I realised this was an older man interested in me in a way that felt inappropriate.”
