Steph McGovern horrified after being charged an eye-watering £60 for just three soft drinks – but would you pay it?

STEPH McGovern has fumed about being ripped off at a restaurant as she was charged a HUGE sum for just three soft drinks.

She told audiences of Steph's Packed Lunch about her experience eating at a restaurant earlier in the week on Thursday's episode.

Steph, 39, told Channel 4 viewers how she went to try out a new health drink after promising herself she would start being healthier.

Speaking to her guests on the show – which included model Vogue Williams and comedian Dane Baptise – she revealed the horrifying cost.

Not fiving away the name of the restaurant or the brand of the drink, Steph admitted that she was handed with a £60 bill for just "three soft drinks".

"I was somewhere quite fancy and I ordered – I was told about this new soft drink – it's got nettles and all this stuff in," Steph explained.

"I was like, 'Alright, I'll try it with this health kick I'm on', and I had one and I was like, 'That's lovely actually, I'll have another one'."

"Got the bill. £60 for three of them, they were £20 each," she revealed as audible gasps could be heard from the studio.

"What was in them?" Vogue could be heard asking, to which Steph joke: "Eternal youth, hopefully, for that much money."

The TV star said she had no choice but to cough up the money for the quick and easy lunch-for-one gone wrong.

It came as the panel discussed overpriced food at restaurants focusing on the news around Turkish chef Salt Bae, who rose to fame on social media.

The cheffing star – whose real name is Nusret Gökçe – recently opened up a restaurant in London's Mayfair to add to his growing chain of steak houses.

Despite the incredible food – Salt Bae has faced harsh criticism over the prices of his menu with steaks costing hundreds of pounds.

One customer took to social media to post a receipt – showing how it set him back an eye-popping £630 for just ONE steak.

Meanwhile, eagle-eyed fans noted that it had cost the same customer £9 for a can of Coca Cola, and £12 for a Red Bull.

Vogue Williams, who is married to Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, admitted she made a similar bill faux-pas on holiday in St Barts.

She admitted she thought she ordered a steak for a table of six for £200 – but was left shocked when the bill came for £800.

"It made me feel sick," she joked at the thought of paying that much for food, as host Steph winced at the huge sum of money.

It comes weeks after Steph announced a panel shake-up for her daytime TV show, as she revealed Katie Price would not be returning as a guest.

Instead, former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona landed her spot on the show, taking over from close pal Katie, 43.

The news comes as host Steph McGovern told The Sun there are currently no plans for Katie to return following her alleged assault.

Steph told us: "There are no plans to have Katie Price back. We’ve got a great relationship with her but at the moment, she won’t be returning."

A TV insider said: "Katie had a really good run on the show, but Kerry is having her big break now.

"It's a really big deal for Kerry and she's already started filming some bits for it. She's excited to be back on TV."

It comes as Katie pleaded guilty to three charges of drink-driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Katie overturned her vehicle at 6.20am on Tuesday near West Grinstead, close to her home in Horsham, West Sussex.

Her roadside alcohol reading was nearly double the legal limit and she tested positive for cocaine.

The ex-model and reality star was said in court to have told police who pulled her from the wreckage: "I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all."

The star left court with a blanket over her head alongside her father Paul Price, who then drove her away in a blue Fiat 500.

The Sun can reveal Katie jumped intoxicated behind the wheel on Tuesday after a bust-up with her boyfriend Carl.
