Stranger Things finished its third season on a dramatic and emotional note as Jim Hopper (played by David Harbour) sacrificed himself so the hole to the Upside Down could be closed and his family and friends would be saved. However, as his death wasn’t actually shown in the Netflix series, fans have been questioning whether he was actually killed off. So is he Hopper dead or will he return for season four?
As Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) decided it was time to move on from Hawkins with her sons Will (Noah Schnapp), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Hopper’s voice is heard reading a letter that he intended to give to Eleven.
Eleven, who Hopper had been taking care of since she first came into the series, read the letter for the first time as she got ready to leave the town and her friends for good.
Through teary eyes, she read how much he loved her and was scared of her growing up and leaving him.
But streaming service Netflix has confirmed today, Friday, February 14, whether or not Hopper is still alive.
