Strictly Come Dancing professional Anton du Beke has defended finalist Ashley Roberts after backlash over her dance training.
The star said it didn’t bother him that the Pussycat Dolls singer had so much dance experience before signing up for the BBC One show.
However, Anton, who was first to be voted off this series, joked that he’d rather have been paired up with Ashley than Susannah Constantine.
Speaking on today’s Good Morning Britain, he said: "There’s been some incredible dancing this year, I take my hat off to everyone."
He added: "It doesn’t bother me [that Ashley has danced before].
"It bothers me that I didn’t dance with her of course, I’m just joking.
"She won’t be experienced in ballroom and Latin but of course you’ve got the fifth judge, the audience at home."
He also praised YouTuber Joe Sugg.
He said "Joe’s terrific.
"He has come on so incredibly.
"He’s got a wonderful frame, he looks like a little ballroom dancer."
Anton was asked who he’s tipping for the win this Saturday night, but said he wouldn’t like to say.
The pro dancer was on the show to talk about his debut novel One Enchanted Evening.
He told hosts Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway: "That’s just been floating around in my head for years.
"It’s almost the story of my life really although it’s not autobiographical."
* Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6.30am
