Strictly’s Michelle Visage reportedly ‘deeply unhappy’ with pro Giovanni Pernice

Strictly Come Dancing's reportedly facing trouble in paradise.

It's reported that Michelle Visage , currently one of the favourites to lift the Glitterball Trophy, has had a series of heated clashes with pro partner Giovanni Pernice.

A source told The Sun : "Michelle has been quite unhappy at times. She has a fiery relationship with Giovanni.

"They have been locking horns since the start.

"Both are very strong characters and they've both had a lot to say. He's probably not used to a partner being quite so in control and calling the shots."

Michelle herself said of the pair: "We're both Italian. We're both intense. We're both Virgos. So there's a perfectionist level that's really ridiculous between us.

"He wants it quicker than I'm able to provide it. So Mondays and Tuesdays is a lot of us at each other's throats. By the end of the week, we're totally in love with each other again and it's fine. "

She added: "I've never walked out. We just like to fight. We like to fight it out, but it's just that's all in love. Our relationship is very fiery. It's weird, but it's perfect."

Giovanni has made it to the Strictly final three times – he's also said to have butted heads with last year's Faye Tozer.

Fans were left outraged last week when Michelle was in the bottom two – and subsequently the dance off against Mike Bushell.

Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli all voted to keep Michelle in the running, with Mike being given the boot after a whopping five dance offs.

She's generally been toward the top of the leader board, and is expected by many fans to make it to the final.

She and Giovanni will have some stiff competition from the likes of Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse, Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden, and Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard, who topped last week's leader board with a near perfect score of 39.

Mirror Online has been to Strictly representatives and representatives of Michelle for comment.
