In a recent episode of The Chase, Jenny Ryan aka The Vixen went up against Sue, John and Sophie in the final round. The quizzer was just two questions away from beating the contestants although, unluckily for her, she ran out of time. Host Bradley Walsh was quick to remind the brainiac that she should have jumped in to answer the easy question before the time ran out.
During the final round, Sue, John and Sophie managed to answer 19 questions correctly, racking up £18,000 in their cash jackpot.
“Not bad at all,” Bradley told them. “19, we’re in with a proper shout there.”
As The Vixen was invited back she commented: “That’s a good score and a tricky set of questions.
“You kept your composure and you were spreading the load across the three team members in terms of answering and picking up the slack where it needed to be picked up.
“That was pretty good but I think it could have been a touch faster.”
Jenny was then given two minutes by Bradley to answer 19 questions correctly.
If she succeeded, it meant that all three contestants would walk away with no money from the jackpot.
Things were going well for Jenny as she answered all of the quick-fire questions correctly until she reached question eight.
Bradley asked: “What does the E stand for in the Government allowance ESA?”
Jenny thought that the E stood for education, although Bradley was quick to inform her that was the wrong answer as he turned to the contestants.
John gave the correct answer of employment, meaning Jenny was pushed back a space on the board.
Jenny also stumbled on the following question as she didn’t know what a chef’s curler was used for.
Sue knew the answer and chipped in: “Cheese.”

After tripping up on a couple more questions, Jenny was back on form and stormed through the questions until she got to the end.
As the former X Factor star got to the 18th question, Bradley asked: “Proverbially, a bird in the hand is worth two in the…”
Instead of jumping in to give an answer, Jenny seemed to wait until Bradley had read out the full question.
Bradley quipped: “I can’t believe you didn’t jump in, there was a split-second left.
“Proverbially a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.”
A disgruntled Jenny replied: “If I had been looking at the clock, I would have jumped at it.”
Bradley proceeded to put his hand to his head and said to the contestants: “We cracked it.
“Brilliant, £6,000 a piece. Sophie what are you going to do with yours?”
“I’m going to go off on holiday, I think,” she replied.
John went on to explain that he was going to buy tools with his winnings while Sue said she was going to put the money towards her house.
The Chase is available to watch on the ITV Hub.
