The Chase has been on television screens for the last ten years and during it’s success, several contestants have taken home thousands of pounds.
More recently, Dorinda took part in the quiz show, where she and her fellow teammates each one £6,500.
During an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, she spoke about her experience and in particular the Chasers.
When asked if the players find out which Chaser they are going to face before the show begins, Dorinda discussed the suggestion that the quiz experts all sit back stage and wait their turn.
“I don’t know if all of the Chasers are backstage,” she divulged. “But there’s certainly at least three backstage, they do [film] three episodes a day.
“Bradley doesn’t know which one is coming out at a time, they keep him in a separate place. Nobody knows who’s coming out except for the director of the programme,” Dorinda continued.
As for whether they can request a particular Chaser to face, she added: “No, I mean as he [Bradley] says at the beginning, ‘four people you’ve never met before’.
“You arrive at the studio and you’re told ‘this is your team and when you go into the studio a Chaser will come down’.
“You just don’t know who it is. They do ask you who you would like, but I just think that’s a nice little bit of banter and see your reaction when someone comes out; if it’s who you wanted or if you said ‘I don’t want to face…’ and they come out.”
She also revealed who she thought the best Chaser was and said: “I would probably say Mark [Labbett] is the best. I think statistically he is very, very good. I think Jenny [Ryan] is also very good statistically. So yes, I think those two are very strong.”
Viewers may remember Dorinda facing The Vixen.
She said: “I faced Jenny and it was nerve-racking. Actually when you see on tv that board in front of you and you’re looking up at the Chaser there’s a bit of distance between you so it’s not quite as intimidating as I thought it might be.”
It comes after an episode which aired earlier this week, when host Bradley Walsh mocked The Beast.
After admitting he had taken part in an interview with Men’s Health magazine, Bradley asked; “You’ve done an interview with Men’s Health?” before teasing: “What were you a page, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 big guy?”
“You’re having a laugh aren’t ya?” the presenter continued to giggle, shaking his head at the prospect.
Elsewhere in the series, Anne Hegerty snapped back at Bradley.
The Governess challenged the hosts suggestion and hit back with: “Could be.”
Bradley added: “Don’t be ridiculous!” as Anne replied: “It was a middle name, you have all sorts of ridiculous middle names,” before revealing that her middle name is Sulway.
That’s ridiculous!” Bradley explained before joking: “Why didn’t you call yourself, Fulham?”
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
