THE longest-running game show in television history, The Price Is Right is heading on a US tour in 2022.

How can I participate?

Kicking off on Friday, March 25, 2022, the Come On Down Tour will light up the Santa Monica Pier's famous Ferris wheel in honor of the game show.

Fans are able to follow along the journey through Instagram and will have the opportunity to play games, win prizes, and enter a sweepstake worth $50,000.

The sweepstakes can be entered via The Price Is Right website, with no purchase necessary.

Where is the tour headed?

The Price is Right is headed out on tour to celebrate their 50th anniversary, making 50 total pit stops across America in a coast-to-coast journey.

Special stops for the tour include:

  • March 25: Los Angeles, California
  • April 1: Denver, Colorado
  • April 7: Dallas, Texas
  • April 15: New Orleans, Louisiana
  • April 22: Nashville, Tennessee
  • April 28: St Louis, Missouri
  • May 6: Cleveland, Ohio
  • May 18: New York, New York

According to the press release, The Price is Right: Come on Down Tour will be visiting American landmarks such as the Route 66 sign, Gateway Arch, and the World's Largest Basket.

What is The Price Is Right?

In 1956, The Price Is Right debuted on NBC with Bill Cullen serving as host.

After nine years, the original show was canceled.

In 1972, The Price Is Right made a comeback with Bob Barker as the host.

He stepped down in 2007, and Drew Carey has been in charge since.

Since its inception, The Price Is Right has given away more than $300million in cash and prizes.

Contestants on the show must guess the prices of everyday retail items.
