The Village People made their grand appearance on This Morning today – but viewers were left very disappointed after it emerged only one original member was in the studio.
The iconic disco band appeared on the ITV daytime show to celebrate 40 years of the band.
But fans were left raising their eyebrows as some of the men looked younger than 40, before later discovering that Victor Willis was the only founding member of the band left.
He was joined by newer members Angel Morales, James Lee, James Kwong, Chad Freeman and Jeffrey James Lippold.
And viewers were not impressed.
One tweeted: "What a mess! They look like they’ve only been together as a group since this morning! #ThisMorning."
While another commented: "It's ok Phil & Holly, the original member of the Village People probably doesn't know who the other guys are either #ThisMorning."
A third fumed: "#ThisMorning they ain't the village people they're a tribute act."
"Oh, so it's Village person and some mates then. #thismorning," another wrote.
Another commented: "So basically one of the Village People and 5 random new guys #ThisMorning ."
