This Morning viewers are furious after being tricked into thinking the Queen had DIED.

There was a mass pouring of outrage on social media after a fake breaking news report led people to believe a serious incident had occurred.

Three couples were waiting to discover the gender of their unborn babies when Holly Willoughby made a big announcement.

Holly looked very serious as she grabbed her ear piece and apologised for interrupting proceedings for an important reason.

She said: "Guys actually I’m really sorry to interrupt right now. We need to cross to Nina Hossain at the ITV news room."

A news flash popped up on the screen as This Morning appeared to end.

After a few tense seconds it quickly became very clear that this was part of the baby gender reveal.

Nina told Chelsea and Jack, who were waiting in the studio, that they were expecting twin boys.

Shocked Chelsea said: "That was the last thing I expected."

This came as a big relief to the floods of viewers who were fearing something bad had happened.

This Morning viewers were furious with the trick and voiced their anger on social media.

One outraged viewer tweeted: "Oh p*** off, I thought the queen had died or something"

Another person who fell victim added: "I thought the Queen had died or something when they cut to the news!!!"

A third agreed: "Really! My stomach dropped. I thought a royal was gone!"

Some viewers were not happy at the inappropriate timing after news of bombs in the post this week and labelled it ‘irresponsible’.

One baffled viewer said: "Actually thought there was a national emergency"

"Jesus This Morning, that fake news bulletin got my heart racing. Thought World War 3 had started, it terrified me. I still feel a little sick. Possibly didn’t think that one through but kudos to @ hollywills for her great acting," added another.

A third said: "Seriously. Nobody cares. My mother nearly had heart failure at that stupid Mock newsflash. She was enjoying it up until that point. Not impressed."

Another couple, Sonia and Aaron, discovered they were expecting a baby girl after having IVF.

The reveal came on a check in board at an airport.

While Vicky and Alice, who recently got engaged, are having also having a baby girl.

Holly, who was presenting alone due to Phil’s illness, was very excited.

The mother-of-three gave some advice to the three happy couples.

Holly said: "All of you enjoy your babies. It is such a precious time."
