TIPPING Point fans have been left in disbelief after a contestant struck an uncanny resemblance to This Morning host Phillip Schofield.
Viewers were convinced they had spotted the silver fox in the line-up and joked he had taken a detour on his was home from the ITV studios.
Lookalike contestant Paul was joined by three fellow hopefuls to stand alongside Ben Shephard in the ITV penny machine-style gameshow.
But it wasn't his quizzing ability that stood out to viewers at home – it was his uncanny likeness to Holly Willoughby's on-screen partner.
Fans took to Twitter in their droves to share their shock at Paul's likeness to Phillip, including his signature grey locks.
"Paul on Tipping Point be looking like a BTEC Schofield!" one viewer wrote alongside a series of laughing emojis.
Someone else agreed: "Phillip Schofield's lookalike on #TippingPoint!" while a third posted a GIF of Phil on This Morning, writing: "He's inescapable!"
"What the hell is Schofield doing on #TippingPoint?" another asked, sharing a snap of contestant Paul on their living room screen.
Some compared the remaining line-up to other celebrities, with one writing: "Mystic Meg and Phillip Schofield on today!"
Others speculated what fellow celebrities Paul looked like, also throwing Father Ted star Dermot Morgan into the mix as one wrote: "Father Ted!"
While another posted a picture of Father Ted and Paul side by side, showing off the uncanny resemblance, and writing: "Close?"
Paul made it through to the final head-to-head round where he had to face off against June, dubbed Mystic Meg by some viewers.
But he faced a set back when he struggled to answer a question about music and TV supplier iTunes, believing it to have been launched in 2015.
Fans took to social media once again to laugh off the answer, in which Paul said he thought singer Rihanna had launched the platform.
"iTunes? That's f***ing older than me!" one viewer wrote to social media as a second agreed alongside a laughing face emoji: "iTunes? WTAF?!"
"Ah, yes, Rihanna the owner of Apple. Jesus wept!" a third person penned.
Meanwhile, the real Phillip Schofield made a return to This Morning on Monday, revealed he had taken time to visit his mum for the first time in a year.
Discussing the emotional moment, he told co-star Holly, 40, that he finally met up with mum Pat after the coronavirus pandemic kept them apart.
"I saw my mum!" a thrilled Phillip told viewers on the show earlier this week as they discussed what they did over the weekend.
"For the first time in a year. It was so lovely – I went to meet her at the station and she staggered through with her bags and the lady let me go through the barrier and I went over and gave her a massive hug."
Tipping Point airs on weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
