Ungrateful Eamonn Holmes was furious with Ruth Lansford on today's This Morning over her 'rubbish' Valentine's Day gift.
They shared a touching moment when Eamonn read out a poem to his wife – but the mood turned when Ruth revealed he hadn't even got her a card.
The couple then had a domestic live on air and Ruth confessed she was "hurt" by her husband's "mean and unkind" comments.
Eamonn claimed Ruth was "robbed" when she confessed she paid over a tenner for the controversial present.
The live domestic began when Eamonn explained that he found a present this morning that had been lovingly wrapped.
Eamonn said: "Ruthie left me a present this morning. there was a bagful bag beside my table. i delved into it and took out a plastic bag, container, a see through sort of make up bag thing."
Ruth claimed he was being unkind as it was a useful gift – a luxury bag to put your toiletries in when you go to the airport.
Explaining her thought process, he said: "I could have got you chocolates. You don't need chocolate. What else could I get you?
"When we travel together we go through airports and you moan about putting your toiletries in a plastic bag. I at great expense brought a proper bag with leather. I thought it was a very thoughtful gift."
Eamonn replied: "Your way of showing you love and affection is get my anticipation up with this lovely romantic box and inside is tupperware."
Seething Ruth jokingly asked if he thought there would be a thong with hearts in the box.
When asked if he really hated it, Eamonn said: "I’m puzzled. This is the equivalent of me buying you an iron or mop and saying 'have some fun today darling'."
Insisting that he hadn't even written her love poem, Ruth said: "That's so mean. You're lucky you got anything."
This came after Eamonn read out his "Ode to Ruth" in heartwarming scenes.
He read: "There was once a girl called Ruth, who when I saw her made me go strewth.
"Smart, bright and lovely as hell, head over heels in love I fell.
"On bended knee I did propose, to which she replied 'oh I suppose'.
"Down the aisle I whisked her before she could get away, but lucky old me because we’re still here today.
"Despite a man called Anton who tried to steal your heart, no amount of sequins could ever keep us apart.
"So despite the old quarrel for the whole wide world to see, it is you Ruth Langsford who is the only girl for me."
This Morning viewers were on Ruth's side as they slammed Eamonn for his behaviour.
One viewer said: "LOL at this live domestic over Valentines presents… Ruth is not happy!!"
"Yes Ruth! That is a lovely present! Ungrateful little sh*t…," added another.
A third said: "It's a very good present. He moaning. Not very good."
"Why be a total unappreciative k**b Eamonn? A thank you wouldn’t have gone a miss," said a fourth.
