Celebrity Julianne Hough is perhaps best known for her work as a professional dancer, starring on the ABC’s hit show Dancing With the Stars, a show in which famous celebrities are paired up with pro dance instructors and judged on various dance routines each week. “I go through different waves of where I’m at, personally and mentally. Sometimes, I’m more relaxed, doing yoga and low-intensity things about two or three times a week. Usually, I’m like a five-to-six-times-a-week person, and it’s very high intensity,” Hough revealed about her personal fitness regimen in an interview with Delish.
But as reported by Health Digest, while it definitely takes a great deal of stamina and strength to perform vigorous dance routines regularly, it’s also equally important that Hough fuel her body with nutritious foods in order to maintain both her skillset and her physique. “Your workout is just one part of staying healthy — the rest is sleeping and what you put into your body,” Hough maintained (via Delish).

Julianne Hough prefers 'foods that don't come in boxes'
According to Health Digest, H20 is an integral part of actress and dancer Julianne Hough’s diet. During her interview with Delish, Hough revealed that she requires a large bottle of ice water by her bedside table each night. “I have this water bottle that goes everywhere with me. Every night, before bed, I put ice in it and fill it to the top — it holds 40 ounces of water — and I drink it throughout the night. Not all of it, obviously, but I have to have cold water before I go to bed,” Hough said.
It’s also reported that Hough swears by a pre and post-workout meal. According to Women’s Health, Hough opts to keep it light prior to a workout and sip on a “concoction of lukewarm water, lemon, celery juice, a green superfood drink, apple cider vinegar, and an adrenal supplement.” After her workout however, she prefers to incorporate a shake filled with healthy fats such as avocado, nut butters, and protein powder.
But when she’s not in workout mode, Julianne Hough relies on whole foods for sustenance. “I try to stick with foods that don’t come in boxes,” she told Shape in August 2016, about a year prior to her wedding to NHL player Brooks Laich. “I don’t want a whole paragraph of ingredients in my body.”
