FANS have been waiting for the second season of Euphoria since the network announced it was renewed in July of 2019.

Season two premieres on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

What time is Euphoria season two released?

The HBO drama is scheduled to return on January 9, 2022, at 9pm EST with new episodes airing weekly.

Episodes of season two were originally scheduled to start filming in March 2020 however, the Covid-19 pandemic forced an indefinite hiatus, which led to the massive delay.

Season one had a total of eight episodes.

Despite the pandemic, the show was able to release two "special" episodes to hold fans over until the release of season two.

Along with a release date, fans were also given a trailer where Zendays's character is heard saying: “When you’re younger, everything feels so permanent. But as you get older, you begin to realize nothing is and everyone you love could drift away."

The official season two synopsis reads: “Amidst the intertwining lives in the town of East Highland, 17-year-old Rue must find hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss, and addiction.”

Following the release date announcement, fans flocked to Twitter to share their excitement for the upcoming season.

"EUPHORIA IS BACK I CAN'T BREATHE," one user said while another added "JANUARY 9th. I’m not crying, I just have allergies," alongside crying emojis.

Another fan said, "patiently gonna wait for euphoria season 2 soundtrack bc i know it'll only get better."

Outside of excitement, some fans were seen making predictions about the season, with one fan saying "Season 2 of Euphoria looks wild (and just as stressful as season 1). I'm so in."
