This Morning viewers won’t be greeted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield next week as the presenters are absent from the ITV show. This absence follows their summer break from the programme, when they finally made their return at the start of September for the new season. However, they are gone again, with two new hosts taking over from the duo.

Where are Holly and Phillip on This Morning?

This Morning fans love the show for Willoughby and Schofield’s infectious chemistry, with the two hosting the show for over a decade.

Back in the summer, they took a break from the show to spend time with their families, with the two taking another well-earned holiday again.

Next week is half term, meaning the hosts are stepping away from the show to enjoy the time off with their families.

In the meantime, Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond have been leading the show since Willoughby and Schofield made the announcement of their holiday on Thursday.

When will Holly and Phillip be back on This Morning?

The duo won’t be gone long, as they will only be absent for the half-term break, returning the following week.

They will be missing from the show between Monday, October 18 and Friday, October 22.

When they return on October 25, they will do so with style as it will be in the run-up for the Halloween special show on Thursday, October 28.

During their Thursday announcement, the studio lights dimmed, revealing this year’s theme.

Schofield said: “Why is there lead piping in the kitchen?”

Willoughby added: “And I don’t know why I haven’t noticed it before but there’s a giant candlestick in the lounge.”

Andi Peters, the ITV presenter, then appeared, saying: “I have an invitation here for the two of you.

“Dear Mr Schofield and Ms Willoughby, I hope your detective skills are in good shape for this year’s Halloween extravaganza.

“You are cordially invited to take part in the nation’s biggest ever game of Cluedo which will take place on Thursday, October 28.”

Willoughby was quick to show her excitement, as a detective fan herself she is more than ready for the games to begin.

“What a brilliant idea, Cluedo is one of my favourite games since being a kid,” Willoughby explained, adding: “It’s my kids’ favourite now, this is genius! The characters! I love a murder mystery!”

Willoughby and Schofield will be back for the full spook-filled week commencing October 25.

Current hosts O’Leary and Hammond were on hand to assist with the show over the summer, similarly proving popular with fans.

While they were leading the show, Willoughby was keeping busy acting in some on-screen roles.

Fans can already see the first of them in Ted Lasso season two, which premiered in July on Apple TV Plus.

Her next role will be keeping with the detective spirit, as she is set to star in an upcoming episode of Midsomer Murders.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
