Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith)’s troubled year comes back to haunt her on Monday night as she opens up to Keegan (Zack Morris) about her rape ordeal.
Recent episodes have seen the teens try to move on with their relationship – but Keegan’s been left unsure where he stands with Tiffany, and whether or not they are indeed boyfriend and girlfriend.
She’ll open up to him about her assault in Monday’s episode after trying to get some time alone with him for a heart to heart talk – but just who was it who raped Tiffany and what happened?
Here’s a reminder of the youngster’s disturbing storyline…
Who raped Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders and what happened?
Tiffany was assaulted earlier this year by Fraser Shelton (Shanu Hazzan), a member of the gang which she became involved in.
She fell in with them after she ran away from home, convinced that nobody in Walford wanted her around – only to fall in with evil Evie Steele (Sophia Capasso).
It was during this time that Fraser raped her – and she later confronted him over the attack after opening up to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) about what had happened.
In scenes which aired in June she told him how terrified she had been during the assault, only for Fraser to try to convince her she had enjoyed it.
However Tiffany bravely told him otherwise, saying: ‘I hated it. I froze and you raped me. Yeah, but I’m not frightened anymore. Because you are nothing! You know that? Sell to little kids. You forced me to have sex because you can’t get it any other way. But it didn’t work with me because I’m better than you’.
She also threatened that if he didn’t leave Walford she would report him to the police.
What happened next?
While Tiffany was adamant that she wanted to put it behind her and get on with her life, Jack’s involvement led to things being stepped up a notch after he took matters into his own hands, wreaking a violent revenge on Fraser.
He was subsequently arrested – although luckily escaped jail.
But how will Keegan react to Tiffany’s shocking story? We’ll have to keep watching to see what happens.
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays on BBC One at 8pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays on BBC One at 7.30pm.
